A. Our Human Resources Department screens all resumes for suitability and fit with SPAN's requirements. Working with persons with disabilities is not an easy job. However, it can be very rewarding, and in fact thrilling, for the right person.

B. Applicants deemed to have required criteria will be contacted for a screening interview. This is a short interview, either in person or over the phone that encourages you to ask questions. It is also a time for SPAN to gather more detailed information about your interest and qualifications.

C. As employment expectations are becoming an industry standard, we urge you to be prepared prior to any screening interview, so as not to impede your hiring process. We encourage you to apply even if you do not have all of the following requirements. Timelines for acquiring the hiring documentation can be set later. These requirements are the same throughout the human service field. This is why we urge you to update or complete these expectations as other positions in other organizations will expect the same.

" Child Welfare Information Check (no older than six months)"

D. After the screening interview, you may be called for a second interview. The second interview will be more specifically related to a position. It is at this time that the status of those requirements (above) will determine how quickly you could start work. Interviewed applicants will also need to furnish three work related references, with current daytime phone numbers.
