Guardianship Services
Community Involvement Program
Providing services to existing and potential guardians of dependent adults
The program's purpose is to provide information, assistance, and referrals to those wishing to become a guardian of a dependent family member or friend, who is an adult or soon to become one. These services are also available to existing guardians and family members.
Program Services
- Information: Providing information on the Dependent Adults Act, the roles, rights, and responsibilities of being a guardian, the process of application or review and/or related issues.
- Resource Library: Providing resource material to those interested in obtaining additional information on guardianship, with respect to the dependent adult and/or related issues.
- Lawyer Referral: Providing lawyer referrals for those people interested in guardianship application or review.
- Self-help Kits: Providing free self-help kits for application or review of guardianship, as well as providing assistance with these kits.
